They built the city
Just by the sea,  they did
A lovely view
But it had no people inside.

They built the streets and houses
But neglected the gutters
The rains came
It turned into a flood and destroyed homes.

They built the trains
But forgot to put the tracks,
And since there was no one to drive the trains,
They rusted and fell into disrepair.

They built guns
Weapons of all sorts,
They had the bullets already
But no one came to fire them,
And they called that peace?
